Is there a guide for this tour?

The Gotham Guide tour is self-guided. We will provide you with a map where you can find our QR codes throughout the city, and you are free to walk and discover them at your own pace.

What if I can’t find a QR code?

Our map will provide you with excellent directions, but sometimes a code may be hidden or even removed. The city is always changing, but we do our best to keep the map up-to-date.

How does the Gotham Guide tour work?

First, watch the video on the home page. Gotham Guide tours allow you to walk the city at your own pace. When you come across one of our QR codes, you take a picture of it with your web-enabled cell phone, which will provide you with more information about your location. It may be a short audio clip, a video segment or an article on a website.

How much walking do we do on these tours?

It’s up to you. The Gotham Guide tour covers many different parts of New York City, which you can reach by subway and foot. This is what makes our tour so special.

What kind of attire should we wear?

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD WALKING SHOES. Since New York is pretty busy, you might also benefit from a pair of headphones for your mobile phone to ensure you can hear the audio. Please take the time to check the weather so you can dress appropriately.
